Our Story

Svolasbalo Jewelry was founded in 2008 by master goldsmith Elizabeth Hayes, whose vision was to create a jewelry brand that honors traditional craftsmanship while embracing contemporary design principles.

With training from some of Britain's most respected jewelry institutions and experience working with prestigious London jewelers, Elizabeth established her atelier in the heart of London's historic jewelry district.

Over the years, Svolasbalo has grown from a small, one-woman studio to a respected name in British designer jewelry, with a dedicated team of skilled artisans, each bringing their unique expertise to the creation of our collections.

Our Philosophy

Artisan Craftsmanship

We believe in the value of handcrafted jewelry. Each piece is meticulously created by our skilled artisans, ensuring exceptional quality and unique character that machine production simply cannot replicate.

Ethical Sourcing

We are committed to responsible sourcing. All of our metals and gemstones are ethically obtained from suppliers who share our values of environmental responsibility and fair labor practices.

Timeless Design

While we draw inspiration from current trends, we design with longevity in mind. Our pieces are intended to be cherished for generations, not discarded when fashions change.

Personal Connection

Jewelry is deeply personal. We strive to create pieces that resonate emotionally with our clients, becoming not just accessories but meaningful symbols of moments, relationships, and personal milestones.

Our London Workshop

Nestled in London's historic jewelry district, our atelier is where imagination meets craftsmanship. It's here that raw materials are transformed into wearable art through a combination of time-honored techniques and modern innovation.

Our workshop is equipped with both traditional jewelry-making tools, some of which have been in use for generations, and state-of-the-art technology that allows us to achieve the highest level of precision and finish.

While we don't regularly offer workshop tours to maintain the focused environment our artisans need, we occasionally host special open studio events for our valued clients.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Svolasbalo, we recognize our responsibility to minimize our environmental impact and contribute positively to the communities connected to our supply chain.

What We're Doing:

  • Using recycled precious metals whenever possible
  • Partnering with suppliers who adhere to ethical mining practices
  • Minimizing waste in our production processes
  • Using eco-friendly packaging materials
  • Supporting initiatives that improve conditions in mining communities

We believe that beautiful jewelry shouldn't come at the expense of our planet or the people who help bring it to life. Our sustainability journey is ongoing, and we continually seek ways to improve our practices.
